How does buying, selling and transferring tickets work?
The world of event ticketing can seem complex, especially once you step into the resale market.
That is why in this section we explain how the industry works and what to keep in mind when buying or selling tickets.
Who is involved in the process?
Several parties take part in a ticket purchase:
-> Event organizer: the party producing the concert, match or show
-> Official ticketing company: the platform responsible for selling and issuing the tickets
-> Original buyer: the person who buys the ticket directly
-> Final buyer: the person who buys the ticket on resale
-> Platforms like Enntra: which enable safe resale between users

What is a digital ticket?
Today, most events use digital tickets:
-> They are stored in official apps or platforms
-> They are not always downloadable as a PDF; instead, on event day you show a QR code from the official app or platform.
-> Many of these tickets can be transferred between users and prevent duplication or reversion to the original holder. At Enntra we only work with ticketing companies that meet these criteria.
👉 This makes the process safer, but also more dependent on each ticketing company.
What is a ticket transfer?
A transfer is the process by which a ticket passes from one person to another within the official platform. It usually requires the email address used to create the account on the event's official app or platform.
At Enntra we only work with ticketing companies whose digital tickets are unique.
